Remove captions from any video.

Free. Private. Nothing leaves your device.

Your in-browser video toolkit

Pick a tool. Everything runs on your device — nothing uploads.

Captions & watermarks

Strip subtitle track

Instant. Removes toggleable subtitle tracks without touching the video. Won't work on burned-in captions.

Crop

Cuts off the caption region entirely. Fast, but slightly changes the frame size.

Black-out

Covers the caption region with a solid black bar. Keeps the original frame size.

Blur

Softens the caption region so text is unreadable, blending naturally with the shot.

Remove watermark

Classical inpainting fills the region from its surroundings — no AI. Best for small logos or watermarks on simple backgrounds.

Good to know

Is it really private?

In Free mode, your video is decoded and re-encoded entirely inside your browser using WebAssembly. It is never uploaded anywhere.

Why didn't Strip mode work?

Strip mode only removes toggleable subtitle tracks. If your captions are burned into the picture, use Blur, Black-out, or AI Erase instead.

Can I remove hardcoded subtitles?

Yes. Burned-in (hardcoded) captions are part of the picture, so use Blur or Black-out to cover them, or Crop to cut the caption band off entirely. AI Erase will reconstruct what's behind them.

Does it work on TikTok and Reels videos?

Yes — any MP4, MOV, WebM, or MKV works, including downloaded TikToks, Reels, and Shorts. Captions on those are usually burned in, so Blur, Black-out, or Crop are the modes you want.

Is it really free? What's the catch?

The free tools are fully free: no signup, no watermark, no file limit. They run on your own device, so there's nothing for us to pay for. The optional AI Erase tier is paid because it runs on GPU servers.
